Demonstration costs cover those activities of the project which can be seen as demonstrating in a real live use environment a product to prove their viability for future applications and commercialisation. We strongly suggest that in IST projects this is avoided and in place of it either “Trials” or “result validation” are carried out on prototypes or pre-production systems and as appropriate classified under the Innovation or Research activity types respectively.
