There is no need to specifically mention EU funding BUT the contract must be written on basis that the employment is dependent on outside funding and if no funding forthcoming or there is reduced funding the person will be dismissed, or have his/her hours and/or salary/grant reduced proportionately. So, the contract does not need to be specifically for EU work but if it says this and this is the only funding, no problem.
